Challenges Too

It was quite prescient of me using the title Challenges in my previous post. Yesterday I met my senior in school that have his own challenges. A few years ago he met with a serious car accident that disabled him. He now uses a wheelchair to move around. He was my enigmatic Cadet Leader back when we were in St John Ambulance Malaysia. He trained and guided me well. He have not lost any of his magnetism even though he can no longer walk.

He remains passionate of his new venture the OKU Smart Farm in Semenyih. It's located opposite the Volkswagen Showroom in Semenyih. I used that as a landmark and it got me there.

Using a closed green house system, he and his friends have created an integrated urban farming concept. I have always been excited about urban farming and I had the opportunity to visit one.

That was how I spent my Sunday yesterday.

I want to see how I can play a bigger role in this and expand this concept to provide healthier alternatives for Malaysians. The leaves I had yesterday tasted amazing.

Dr Billy Tang

I am driven by the drive and passion he has and I am further inspired and encouraged by the commitment and support given by his classmates, my schoolmates and seniors from Methodist Boys' School Kuala Lumpur, a truly great school.

When I feel I am facing challenges, others are facing their own challenge. And even more so. Just received news that the wife of another friend is now in ICU. She had a stroke.

Challenges

Yesterday was a challenging day. My mother went for CT Scan to scan her brain for potential swelling. We have made a decision that whatever is the outcome of the scan we will not do anything if it requires surgery. At her age and doing brain surgery is very very risky. However, I pray that we have made the right decision because she is still suffering from vertigo and spells of intense headache apart from her many other ailments.

While she was undergoing the scan I was chairing a meeting to elicit information to initiate a project in Mersing. Instead a rear orifice (RO) as always decide to use that platform to look for weaknesses and mistakes instead of helping. My patience with this RO is wearing thin and we have crossed swords before. It is time to move on but where to.

Early last year I was thinking of quitting without anything to fall back on. Just can't stand all the horse manure that was going on. Only pleading by my dear friends to be patient changed my mind. No one could make me change my mind at that time. I was seriously thinking of moving on and working on something else. But that something else is not clear. My attempts online so far is not bearing fruit. Probably because I am doing it the wrong way.

Trying it again with Clarity https://clarity.fm/ because I really want to share my knowledge and experiences, all those years of being knocked down and about. I would like people to know this so that they can do even better than I did.

A few weeks ago I saw a post on Facebook about a friend whose wife, who is another friend was going through MRI. Today my wife told me that the wife is going for brain surgery tomorrow to remove a tumour. The tumour is located where it controls sight and speech. Very critical. Praying that all will be well.

The organisation I am with now is facing it's own challenges, so there are challenges abound everywhere.

In December last year we were in Melbourne. Lovely place. Original intention was to visit the cattle farm there to learn cattle farming as we wanted to begin our own here. However, the person we dealt with appeared to be shifty and we were almost victims of fraud. We were told that there were many scams in Australia especially involving fellow Malaysians duping other Malaysians. I will tell the Melbourne story in another posting.

Games.....

The fractious game of race relations is not a game and should not be played yet time and again with multiple examples anywhere and everywhere in the world politicians continue to play with this with undesirable results If we look closely at any conflicts in the past and present issues of one race always rears its ugly head.

Simplistically, if we delve into Syria's conflict, beside the issues related to Shia and Sunni, an issue that is seldom mentioned in the news are the different Arabic race or sect that follows one or the other. It is all about race.

Even in the UK, the previous Northern Ireland conflict, apart from being about Catholics against Protestants it is again about race. Mainly about the Celts against the Anglo-Saxons, an altercation that have been carrying on for thousand years. Of course I am over simplifying things but through the ages it have been shown that time and again leaders and politicians will play the race card especially when they perceive they are in a fix, boost up their popularity and all hell breaks lose.

It is my fervent believe that "The Wall" is just another race issue disguised as an immigration problem. Being paraded because Mr. President is or may be having a problem.

I love history and I love learning from history and through the years there are so much to know and learn. I love Civilisation VI. I am not good at it but I love it all the same and it marries my 2 loves. Strategic Games and History, I am thinking of how to create an income out of it but....

Anyway, in one of the persona I chose, I chose Gitarja. A Queen. No, I am not over reaching my feminine side and no I am not metrosexual. I don't dress like one and I have a paunch that I am trying to get rid. But I digress.

Before playing Civilization VI I have not heard of Gitarja. So relying on the trusty Google and Wikipedia this is what I found.

Copy and paste from Wikipedia.
Tribhuwana Wijayatunggadewi, known in her regnal name Tribhuwannottunggadewi Jayawishnuwardhani, also known as Dyah Gitarja, was a Javanese queen regnant and the third Majapahit monarch, reigning from 1328 to 1350. She also bears the title Bhre Kahuripan (Duchess of Kahuripan). With the help of her prime minister Gajah Mada, she pursued a massive expansion of the empire. Tradition mentioned her as a woman of extraordinary valour, wisdom and intelligence.\
Okay I have heard of Gajah Mada, an illustrious Prime MInister. But I've not heard of Gitarja. I then read on.
Dyah Gitarja was the daughter of Raden Wijaya, the first king of Majapahit, and his consort Dyah Gayatri Rajapatni. Gitarja was a member of the Rajasa dynasty, rulers of Majapahit and its predecessor Singhasari Kingdom. From her mother's side, she was also a granddaughter of Kertanegara of Singhasari. She was the eldest of Wijaya's offspring, her younger sister was Rajadewi, both are the daughters of Queen Rajapatni, while her half-brother was Jayanegara, the son of Queen Indreswari. According to Nagarakretagama canto 48 stanza 1, her half-brother Jayanegara succeeded to the throne upon the death of her father in 1309, while she and her sister gained the title of Bhre Kahuripan (Duchess of Kahuripan) and Bhre Daha (Duchess of Daha) respectively.According to the Pararaton, King Jayanegara desired his half-sisters to be his consort. The practice of half siblings marriage is abhorred in Javanese tradition, subsequently the council of royal elders led by Queen mother Gayatri speak strongly against king's wishes. It was not clear the motivation of Jayanegara's wish — it might be his way to ensure his throne legitimacy by preventing rivals from his half sisters' suitors.Nevertheless, Jayanegara went further to prevent his half-sisters courtship by confining Gitarja and Rajadewi in kaputren (ladies quarter) of the palace, locking them in a well-guarded inner compound and denied the two princesses' contact and access to the court and public affairs. This confinement went on for years until both princesses grew mature and passed their suitable age for marriage in Javanese tradition. This has alarmed their mother, Queen mother Gayatri that desperately tried to free her daughters from captivity.I have also heard of KIng Jayanegara and reading on.
Princess Gitarja ascended to throne under her new regnal name Tribhuwannottunggadewi Jayawishnuwardhani, which means "The exalted goddess of three worlds which the glory of Vishnu radiates". Tribhuwana governed with the help of her spouse, Kritavardhana.[1]:234 She became the mother and predecessor to Hayam Wuruk, the fourth monarch of the Majapahit empire.
I know the father, the brother and the son but not her. Why is that? Is it my own prejudices or is it how history is written? Favouring the male. And this got me thinking, how many auspicious women were not captured or properly written in history because of our own prejudices. The people behind the throne or leadership or sometimes maybe the throne themselves.

Both sides of my family played important and key parts in history. Some of them are written in history while others played their own roles in various events. Most of the stories told are of the male exploits. BUt what of the female? The ladies? I am sure they played their own pivotal roles because even if the man may the lord or the king, the women or the mother is surely the head of the household.

Thank you Sid Meier's Civilization VI, you have surely educated as well as entertained me. It's the most difficult game I have ever played though and I have barely won in my many many many attempts.
Gitarja the Majapahit Queen in Civilization VI
Why did I bring up Civilization VI here? This game actually is a good teaching aide on race relations. And race relations have always been a problem throughout history. Humans of different race, colour, creed, class, stature, education, religion, language, culture just can't seem to get along.

But where did that come from? Where did we learn it from? We were taught from small? From young? Were we conditioned? I don't know about others but my background is very diverse. I went through various types of school exposed to multi race, culture and religion having nuns and priests as my teachers once. Having different races as my friends and some my best friends. We didn't have a problem then. There were no racial slurs or racism. There were no ill treatment because of our race or religion. So how did it begin?

Yes I went through college for 3 years where the majority was a single race but still when I went home I will still keep in touch with my old friends. Yes, we do drift apart now and again but on the whole we remain in touch. Again our race, language, culture or religion was not a problem.

So why is it a problem now? Is it a perceived problem or is it real? Have we been conditioned? Programmed? Or is it a real concern.

How do we make it right again? Or can we make it right? Go back to what it was before. Many says this, but what was it before? Before there were no prejudices? There were no racism? It's all the politicians fault? Or is it us that have this never before laid bare prejudice that is now naked for all to see?

And again I promise to write more so much more as I need to stop now. This is my musings in the beginning of 2019. I will write more or at least I hope I will.

Okay I lied....

In my previous post I said I will write everyday but I didn't. I am just going to paste what I wrote on Facebook.

My dear Tun, when you first mooted Vision 2020, the world was excited, in fact the President from my University then, way back in 1989, quoted your Vision 2020. To be a developed nation by 2020. Now is 2018, 29 years have passed since then and the year 2020 is just around the corner. It will take much longer than just less than 2 years to come up with a new strategy for yet another national car project. Whatever we come up with will not create a dent to bump us up before 2020.
We have Industry 4.0 knocking our doors. The days of individual ownership may soon be a thing of the past with autonomous cars making headway. Driverless cars are already on the roads. Cars running using fossil fuel may soon be history as different energy are considered.
People are getting sick of pollution and smog. Many are excited with not driving. Riding bicycles and commuting on efficient public system. So when we are looking towards cancelling ECRL, HSR, MRT 3 and LRT 3 and instead continuing the archaic idea of yet another national car, it disappointed the majority of us.
We want to see trails for train services including trams plying our streets. We want to see lesser cars and lesser congestion. We want to move from one place to another in comfort and in minutes, not hours.
Please don't force us with another car. Instead look towards expanding our rail expertise, expanding it throughout the nation. Get Sabah and Sarawak too to enjoy it. And who know one day we may even have our own underground tunnel for rail similar to the Channel Tunnel.

And

My take on UEC? It does not make sense to have 2 different qualifications that seemingly favours one particular race.To me it does not matter whether it is MCA or DAP or Gerakan that pushes for it, to me it just does not make sense.
These days there are already parents that chooses to do O Levels, IB and so forth, which already undermines our SPM. With this UEC it further undermines our SPM and our school system. Matter of time before every school start to do their own thing and then how do we then control quality?
The education system seems already lost with the mushrooming of these private schools and all these tahfiz centres. With the UEC coming into play might as well just shut down the Ministry of Education because they have not been playing their role governing all these.
Fairly soon, which is already happening, our children will be educated in different streams, different systems, some of them barely intersecting with one another. And with different certification there will segments in society that will have nothing in common.

When was the last time I wrote?

It has been a long time since I last wrote here. I need to be more disciplined and prolific in my writing. I didn't realise this. The last I wrote here was in 2014!

This is terrible, I vow and declare today and now that I will write in here everyday. So here I am writing again. Why am I writing? Because that's what makes me feel better. There are times when I write in newspapers, or even Facebook.

I need a change of scene. I have been in my current job for over 2 and a half years now and I just feel it is time to move on. I am approaching 50 this year, in fact in just over a month. I have a lot to offer and a lot to give however there are very few options open for new employment once people reach this age. For one, some employers feel that we are at the end of our useful life and for others they feel that executives at our age is a little too expensive for them. Not just because of salary but also benefits especially with medical insurance, their premium will be higher because over 40s have entered the high risk zone.

When I last wrote, I was still in a Multi National Company. I was there for over 7 years. It's a lovely place to work, but they were facing difficult market conditions so the best thing to do was to leave. It helped them because they can hire someone cheaper and it helps me to explore other roles for me to play. I am still very much in touch with the CEO, my ex colleagues and even the former Chairman. I still deeply regret having to leave the place but there's very little that I can do.

What's the scene change I seek? I'd like to be a free agent, a free lancer but of course with something that pays because I still have bills to pay and a family to feed in addition to growing children. I can't recall what I wrote previously, anyway I have 2 lovely children, a boy and a girl. The boy is now a young man at 13 while the girl is approaching 10, growing to be a lovely young lady. While the boy is doing well in school with very little effort, the girl is struggling. She have a short attention span and previously had difficulty reading because she was diagnosed with dyslexia.

But the school is amazing. My wife's patience with her is amazing. So from not knowing to read, write and do maths, she is an avid reader now, not needing to read even the specially written books. She can write now and can even do her homework on her own. She have yet to get a grasp of the mathematics principle. So I am doing my best to make it interesting for her.

Without understanding multiplications, it will be tough for her to do fractions and more. That will be our challenge. However, I thank God that she is not autistic, like what some of my friends are facing, contending with children with autism but I still need to have the patience to manage her short attention span.

I will continue again tomorrow.

It is Sunday

Sometimes the simplest things in life brings most joy. I have been looking for Dean Martin's Variety Show for a long time and today I found some. And suddenly while watching I saw one of the most endearing and handsome lady I have ever seen. She seemed enamoured with Dean Martin. I speak of Carol Lawrence. Such an enigmatic presence.

In that I saw a few hilarious sketch from Woody Allen and the multi-talented Lucille Ball. And now I need to look for more. The thing about Malaysia is that there is not that much appreciation for such evergreen stars. To me no matter that I listen to a variety of music and songs the real stars remains the ones that I can hear to again and again and again.

I am never tired of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Andy Williams, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis the real crooners that is soothing to one ears.

Shortly need to fetch my daughter from her class and off we will go for lunch at my wife's friend's place. Her daughter's birthday.

I am looking for more Dean Martin stuff.

People

A few days ago a friend on Facebook asked in general who among his friends have met any celebrities. That question got me thinking of who that I have met that I had a decent conversation with. The ones that had a profound effect on me was meeting Tun Daim, Justice Harun, Tun Dr. Mahathir, Tun Musa and Robert Kuok. Spending a short time with them was experience of a lifetime. I had the pleasure of having a few hours with Robert Kuok and Tan Sri Tan Kay Hock. Two brilliant individuals.

Tan Sri Tan Kay Hock
So did I meet any celebrities? Need to think about that one. When I say meet it means I had a conversation or I shook their hands. Well I did shake the hands of Amy Search.

Working Hard in a Marriage

I love this. We only know only when we have lost something. I've had my ups and downs and our own share of aches and pains and challenges. But we've weathered through it and I will persevere. Why? Because she is worth it. And I am a real dumb ass if I cause any further heartaches. Anyway here it is sharing from this website http://www.oddcrunch.com/divorced-man-words/0. A man's thoughts after he went through a divorce. Thank you for this. And Gerald Rogers all the best to you. And for me I want to celebrate my 20th and 30th and 40th anniversary with the same woman, the mother of my children. She have held my back and never wavered. Neither will I.

This Guy Got Divorced And Said This About His Ex-Wife... And I Agree With Him.
Gerald Rogers got divorced after 16 years of marriage. Recently he wrote a eye-opening public confession on his blog... after I saw it, I'm totally with him. He writes:

''MARRIAGE ADVICE I WISH I WOULD HAVE HAD:

Obviously, I'm not a relationship expert. But there's something about my divorce being finalized this week that gives me perspective of things I wish I would have done different... After losing a woman that I loved, and a marriage of almost 16 years, here's the advice I wish I would have had...

1) Never stop courting.
Never stop dating. NEVER EVER take that woman for granted. When you asked her to marry you, you promised to be that man that would OWN HER HEART and to fiercely protect it. This is the most important and sacred treasure you will ever be entrusted with. SHE CHOSE YOU. Never forget that, and NEVER GET LAZY in your love.

2) PROTECT YOUR OWN HEART.
Just as you committed to being the protector of her heart, you must guard your own with the same vigilance. Love yourself fully, love the world openly, but there is a special place in your heart where no one must enter except for your wife. Keep that space always ready to receive her and invite her in, and refuse to let anyone or anything else enter there.

3) FALL IN LOVE OVER and OVER and OVER again.
You will constantly change. You're not the same people you were when you got married, and in five years you will not be the same person you are today. Change will come, and in that you have to re-choose each other everyday. SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO STAY WITH YOU, and if you don't take care of her heart, she may give that heart to someone else or seal you out completely, and you may never be able to get it back. Always fight to win her love just as you did when you were courting her.

4) ALWAYS SEE THE BEST in her.
Focus only on what you love. What you focus on will expand. If you focus on what bugs you, all you will see is reasons to be bugged. If you focus on what you love, you can't help but be consumed by love. Focus to the point where you can no longer see anything but love, and you know without a doubt that you are the luckiest man on earth to be have this woman as your wife.

5) IT'S NOT YOUR JOB TO CHANGE OR FIX HER...
Your job is to love her as she is with no expectation of her ever changing. And if she changes, love what she becomes, whether it's what you wanted or not.

6) TAKE FULL ACCOUNTABILITY for your own emotions:
It's not your wife's job to make you happy, and she CAN'T make you sad. You are responsible for finding your own happiness, and through that your joy will spill over into your relationship and your love.

7) NEVER BLAME your wife If YOU get frustrated or angry at her, it is only because it is triggering something inside of YOU. They are YOUR emotions, and your responsibility. When you feel those feelings take time to get present and to look within and understand what it is inside of YOU that is asking to be healed. You were attracted to this woman because she was the person best suited to trigger all of your childhood wounds in the most painful way so that you could heal them... when you heal yourself, you will no longer be triggered by her, and you will wonder why you ever were.

8) Allow your woman to JUST BE.
When she's sad or upset, it's not your job to fix it, it's your job to HOLD HER and let her know it's ok. Let her know that you hear her, and that she's important and that you are that pillar on which she can always lean. The feminine spirit is about change and emotion and like a storm her emotions will roll in and out, and as you remain strong and unjudging she will trust you and open her soul to you... DON'T RUN-AWAY WHEN SHE'S UPSET. Stand present and strong and let her know you aren't going anywhere. Listen to what she is really saying behind the words and emotion.

9) BE SILLY...
Don't take yourself so damn seriously. Laugh. And make her laugh. Laughter makes everything else easier.

10) FILL HER SOUL EVERYDAY...
Learn her love languages and the specific ways that she feels important and validated and CHERISHED. Ask her to create a list of 10 THINGS that make her feel loved and memorize those things and make it a priority everyday to make her feel like a queen.

11) BE PRESENT.
Give her not only your time, but your focus, your attention and your soul. Do whatever it takes to clear your head so that when you are with her you are fully WITH HER. Treat her as you would your most valuable client. She is.

12) BE WILLING TO TAKE HER SEXUALLY...
To carry her away in the power of your masculine presence, to consume her and devour her with your strength, and to penetrate her to the deepest levels of her soul. Let her melt into her feminine softness as she knows she can trust you fully.

13) DON'T BE AN IDIOT...
And don't be afraid of being one either. You will make mistakes and so will she. Try not to make too big of mistakes, and learn from the ones you do make. You're not supposed to be perfect, just try to not be too stupid.

14) GIVE HER SPACE...
The woman is so good at giving and giving, and sometimes she will need to be reminded to take time to nurture herself. Sometimes she will need to fly from your branches to go and find what feeds her soul, and if you give her that space she will come back with new songs to sing... (okay, getting a little too poetic here, but you get the point. Tell her to take time for herself, ESPECIALLY after you have kids. She needs that space to renew and get re-centered, and to find herself after she gets lost in serving you, the kids and the world.)

15) BE VULNERABLE...
You don't have to have it all together. Be willing to share your fears and feelings, and quick to acknowledge your mistakes.

16) BE FULLY TRANSPARENT.
If you want to have trust you must be willing to share EVERYTHING... Especially those things you don't want to share. It takes courage to fully love, to fully open your heart and let her in when you don't know i she will like what she finds... Part of that courage is allowing her to love you completely, your darkness as well as your light. DROP THE MASK... If you feel like you need to wear a mask around her, and show up perfect all the time, you will never experience the full dimension of what love can be.

17) NEVER STOP GROWING TOGETHER...
The stagnant pond breeds malaria, the flowing stream is always fresh and cool. Atrophy is the natural process when you stop working a muscle, just as it is if you stop working on your relationship. Find common goals, dreams and visions to work towards.

18) DON'T WORRY ABOUT MONEY.
Money is a game, find ways to work together as a team to win it. It never helps when teammates fight. Figure out ways to leverage both persons strength to win.

19) FORGIVE IMMEDIATELY and focus on the future rather than carrying weight from the past. Don't let your history hold you hostage. Holding onto past mistakes that either you or she makes, is like a heavy anchor to your marriage and will hold you back. FORGIVENESS IS FREEDOM. Cut the anchor loose and always choose love.

20) ALWAYS CHOOSE LOVE. ALWAYS CHOOSE LOVE. ALWAYS CHOOSE LOVE.
In the end, this is the only advice you need. If this is the guiding principle through which all your choices is governed, there is nothing that will threaten the happiness of your marriage. Love will always endure.

In the end MARRIAGE isn't about Happily ever after. It's about work. And a commitment to grow together and a willingness to continually invest in creating something that can endure eternity. Through that work, the happiness will come.

Marriage is life, and it will bring ups and downs. Embracing all of the cycles and learning to learn from and love each experience will bring the strength and perspective to keep building, one brick at a time.

These are lessons I learned the hard way. These are lessons I learned too late.

But these are lessons I am learning and committed in carrying forward. Truth is, I LOVED being married, and in time, I will get married again, and when I do, I will build it with a foundation that will endure any storm and any amount of time.

If you are reading this and find wisdom in my pain, share it those those young husbands whose hearts are still full of hope, and with those couples you may know who may have forgotten how to love. One of those men may be like I was, and in these hard earned lessons perhaps something will awaken in him and he will learn to be the man his lady has been waiting for.

The woman that told him 'I do', and trusted her life with him, has been waiting for this man to step up.

If you are reading this and your marriage isn't what you want it to be, take 100% responsibility for YOUR PART in marriage, regardless of where your spouse is at, and commit to applying these lessons while there is time.

MEN- THIS IS YOUR CHARGE: Commit to being an EPIC LOVER. There is no greater challenge, and no greater prize. Your woman deserves that from you.

Be the type of husband your wife can't help but brag about.''

If you're inspired by Gerald's words, please share this with a friend today.

It was supposed to be a quiet day....

7 March 2014 I received a private message from a Facebook friend "Quiet Day Today...". This message is so profoundly was on hind sight the most wrong thing to say. Because the very next day we were shocked by a Press Release by Malaysia Airlines.

"MEDIA STATEMENT released at 7.24am/8 Mar 2014 MH370 Incident
Sepang, 8 March 2014: Malaysia Airlines confirms that flight MH370 has lost contact with Subang Air Traffic Control at 2.40am, today (8 March 2014).
Flight MH370, operated on the B777-200 aircraft, departed Kuala Lumpur at 12.41am on 8 March 2014. MH370 was expected to land in Beijing at 6.30am the same day. The flight was carrying a total number of 227 passengers (including 2 infants), 12 crew members.
Malaysia Airlines is currently working with the authorities who have activated their Search and Rescue team to locate the aircraft. The airline will provide regular updates on the situation. Meanwhile, the public may contact +603 7884 1234 for further info. "

Its now been 14 days or two weeks since and we have no idea of the fate of flight MH370.

What we have found so far is a lot of conjecture, tonnes of speculations and way out theories. And what is even more interesting is that this tragedy have exposed the worse in the following:

1. The foreign press - trying to pick holes in the press conferences by Malaysian authorities when really there was none The quality of international and the lack thereof of any form of integrity and principle;

2. The political opposition - having nothing better to do apart from cracking jokes, making inane remarks on Twitter and at Press Conferences, doing what they do best looking for blame instead of coming together in this difficult times. Adding fuel to the fire even further not helping one tiny bit on the Search and Rescue Mission. (Of course the fact that their head honcho is on the way to jail for some personal indiscretion and his road to the State is now thwarted by the decision of the Court of Appeal exacerbates matters....)

3. Supporter of the political opposition - that follows the tenet of "you jump I jump" of the opposition leaders thus singing the same tune no matter how silly, repeating the statements and claims no matter how ridiculous, questioning the flow of information....

Open Parentheses [Do they have any idea of the effort it takes to coordinate raw information coming from over 20 nations, each with armed forces of their own, each with agencies of their own, and some with satellite data feeds, trying to separate the truth and the false and facts against speculation AND make it into an acceptable by ALL statements AND presented into a twice daily press conference and briefing to the families.

I respect the men and women that is involved in the Search and Rescue both on land and at sea, the backroom people that probably have very little sleep away from their family, children and friends who is just as worried for their well-being and health. In such powder keg situation, ANYTHING can happen. ] Close Parentheses.

To our friends the international party that participated and is participating in the Search and Rescue missions. As a Malaysian I saw thank you very much. A friend made a very profound statement on Facebook, I quote " The equipment that's being designed for death and destruction is now being used for humanity ". I love this most profound. Copied the item below from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_370. along with the assets(equipment of death and destruction) used.

To the family and friends of the crew and passengers of MH370 I hope I understand the torment and anguish that you are going through especially not knowing the fate of one's loved ones. I do hope and pray that the family, friends, search and rescue teams, leaders and fellow Malaysians would achieve closure very soon.

I may not have any family or friends on board but each day of not knowing chips away the hope and builds up the anxiety. If people like me can feel this way what about the family and friends. My father a soldier's soldier himself shed some tears when the news of a large debris was found by the RAAF with the possibility of the first clear signs of what may have befallen the crew and passengers of flight MH370.

My message to the media and journalists. I know you need to sell your newspaper, news, channels and so forth but do have a heart after all you are human too along with your own friends and family. To the Opposition and their supporters be kind and be supportive when the nation is in a time of need. Now is not the time to play politics and one upmanship. It is time to stick together not bash the nation in front of the media and journalists. To my fellow Malaysians learn to give messages of hope, building things and not destroying it.

To build takes decades and centuries, to destroy just takes a day.
