What Is Vertigo? What Causes Vertigo?

16 April 2013

In the last week my mother have been suffering from vertigo. It forces here to lie in bed all day as the sensation she feels is as if the room is spinning. We had planned to take my parents out on Saturday, the 13th April 2013. The plan is to celebrate their 47th Wedding Anniversary that fell on 11th April. However because of the vertigo it had to be cancelled and it will be postponed until she recovers from her vertigo.

What is vertigo?

What Is Vertigo? What Causes Vertigo?

A sensation of whirling and loss of balance, associated particularly with looking down from a great height, or caused by disease...

She have been taking all sorts of medication and it does not seem to work. But then I found 3 websites that spoke of Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and the Epley procedure. Not sure how it works and whether it works but to ease my mum's discomfort I am willing to do anything.

This website http://women.webmd.com/news/20040712/simple-home-remedy-for-vertigo-works explains how it can be done. I really hope that this is the answer since doctors here don't seem to be able to reduce or alleviate the discomfort. I will keep you posted if it truly works.

I Dreamed A Dream Part 2

My plan was to continue writing on 1 April 2013 but I was soon way laid by events entirely beyond my control. On 2 April we had the EXCOM meeting (half of the Board Members attend), sort of a pre-cursor to a Board Meeting to be held on 9 April 2013. It started at 9:00 a.m and ended at 3:30 p.m. And soon there was a pre-EXCOM meeting and soon after whatever strength I had left was torn to shreds. Next day I braved myself and went to work. Went in late actually met some old college mates over breakfast and scooted off to work at 11:00 a.m. At about the same time the long awaited even finally happened. Our Prime Minister Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak announced live at 11:30 that the 12th parliament is finally dissolved paving the way for the 13th General Elections. Finally.

My colleague said I looked terrible so after contemplating that indeed felt terrible I told my boss that I would like to work from home today. And worked I did. I am practically glued to my chair facing my computer display the whole day answering the phones for half a day chatting to my boss the CFO and the CEO on the board meeting preparation. My assistant being glued to her seat in the office preparing compilation of the papers to be sent out tonight.

At the same time the kitchen guys arrived to fix my wife's work station in the kitchen. This allows her more space and clears the dining area from clutter. There is now a plan to do something to the patio at the back to give her more room. We shall see.

Back to my dream, seriously I am tired and have been yawning away however I have not seen any new emails so I cannot sleep just yet. Need to send it out tonight.

My dream huh? Dreamland sound nice right about now. I am no longer active politically just too tired to get involved in anything anymore. All I want is just to achieve my dream. For now I need a nap....

I Dream A Dream

Today I would like to share my dream. What I consider as my ideal life. Suddenly I felt like writing such. After months and maybe years of torment on Facebook I just cannot take it anymore. There's too much negativity, too much negative energy and I can no longer take much more of this. Malaysia will be going through its 13th General Elections very soon and in the last 5 years both sides have been practising the art of put down. Putting down one or the other. Depending on who you are talking to both sides claim that they will achieve resounding victory and their supporters are the ones that put me in this miserable state. I have my belief and my ideals and maybe I too was one of those that shared this and that but now not anymore. I just want to concentrate on achieving what I want most.

1. The Gift of Time - Time to spend the time with my family and loved ones and do whatever I please

2. The Gift of Choice - Ability to do anything that I want when I want without restricted by time and work commitments

3. Financially Free - free from all sorts of debts whether short term or long term, I want to live free of debts and I want to leave debt free

4. Burden To No One - I want to live being a burden to no one and able to sustain my needs and my family's needs

5. Ability to Assist - I want to be able to assist anyone that may be in need of help without hesitation for a second.

These are my dreams for me to achieve my other dreams. Will continue later or tomorrow.
